El Tucan Jungle Lodge is located in Cocles - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca - in the Southern Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica, 800m from the main road in the middle of a dense tropical forest.
Lodging in stylish wooden bungalows on the banks of the river Caño Negro surrounded by exotic plants and fascinating animals such as iguanas, sloths and toucans.

How to find us:
- By car:
- From San José you take the Braulio Carrillo Highway to Puerto Limón and there follow the signs to Puerto Viejo. Once in Puerto Viejo you follow the road to Manzanillo another 3 km. You will see our Tucán-sign 50 m after the bridge over the Cocles River, there you turn-off to the right and follow the dirt road and the signs another 800m. The drive from San Jose to Puerto Viejo takes about 4 hours.
- By bus:
- There are four buses per day from the Gran Terminal del Caribe in San José to Puerto Viejo. Once in Puerto Viejo it is just another 4 km. A taxi will you bring you to our lodge.
- Pick-up service:
- A good and reliable service can be arranged, which picks up from your hotel in San José and transports you to “El Tucan Jungle Lodge”
